Add Navigation Menu in WordPress:

  1. Go to the Appearance » Menus.

  2. Create a New Menu.

    Enter the menu name and click Create Menu.

  3. Add menu items to the menu.

  4. Choose the display location Where you want to display, and click Save Menu.

Customize Navigation Menu Items

By default, WordPress will use the original name of a post, page, category for the text on the menu item.

But, if you want to change or customize this text, click on the right-side down arrow icon of the menu item, and rename the text > Save Menu.

Rearrange Menu Items

To rearrange menu items, simply drag and drop them in the order you want:

Open the left-side Custom Links option > Enter the URL and the Link Text > Click Add to Menu.

If you want to add nofollow links and open in new tab option to a link in a WordPress Navigation menu, first you have to enable this feature.

Open the Screen Options.

Enable the Link Target and Link Relationship (XFN).

Now you can see the Link target and relationship option.

If you want to create a dropdown or a submenu, just drag a menu item underneath a menu item.

Removing menu item is a very easy task just open the menu item and click on the remove.

Go to the Appearance » Widgets.
